What is the difference between
26 gauge and 29 gauge and where are each used?
26 gauge is most commonly used in commercial applications where the distance between purlings is greater than 5 feet. 29 gauge is usually best for residential construction unless trees branches or other falling objects may impact the roof.

What do the 10 year and 30
year warranty cover?
The 10 year guarantee is on painted over galvanized, there is no warranty on the metal and a 10 year warranty on the paint. The 30 year guarantee is on painted over galvalum, there is a 20 year guarantee on the metal and a 30 year warranty on the paint. |

How much area does the metal cover?
The metal is 38" wide with an overlap of 2" making the total coverage area 36".

How long can I get a piece of metal?
Metal can be up to 50' long and cut to any length to the 1/2".

What is the standard trim length of 29
gauge?
The basic trim length is 10' with the exception of rake and corner which can be 10', 12', 14', or 16'.

What is a closure and where is it used?
A closure is a piece of material that closes the gap between the grooved profile of the metal and the flat surface of a ridge cap.

Do I need to install a moisture barrier
under roofing?
Yes, metal condensates and without a moisture barrier this water will enter the home rather than running down the metal.
